ABSTRACT

Concerts and other live events are often recorded in the field at the same time they are being performed in front of an audience. Miking such events so that everyone in the audience can hear the material in a properly balanced fashion can be a challenge (see Figure 10.2 ). On a smaller scale, audio technicians are often asked to set up sound equipment for company activities, such as sales or promotional events, which involve people speaking and also using various pieces of audio/visual equipment.
