ABSTRACT
This chapter presents some of the implications of the on-going energy transitions in Nigeria and what they mean for the future of energy and electricity. Of particular importance are issues regarding how the various historical influences and drivers of energy systems change have led to path dependency and systems lock-in in energy and electricity systems and what they mean for the future of energy. It also presents cross-comparison with other West African countries
