ABSTRACT
This chapter highlights the linkages between political institutions and policy processes and their impact on energy infrastructure provision, use, and governance. It highlights the institutional instruments and policy processes used by policy makers to intervene in matters of energy and electricity infrastructure provision and some unintended consequences that are an upshot of the policy process.
