ABSTRACT
This follow-up study explores two central and interrelated questions. First, how are great power politics evolving generally since the end of the Cold War? Second, how do domestic factors, especially, figure in Big3 interrelationships? Chapter 4 on the “perpetual triangle” and Chapter 5 on our countries’ respective domestic environments provided the foundation for Chapter 6, which presents the central findings of the study (Appendix II). The influence of the strategic triangle dynamic is revealed in what the author calls “epochal great power politics.” These epochs are time periods that are distinguished broadly by Big3 domestic and key external factors. The strategic triangle dynamic endures even as the global order itself continues to evolve.
