Fighting impeachment while dealing with Israeli issues followed by an Iran Treaty crisis followed by dealing with interest rates going up followed by tweeting about immigration followed by trying to buy another country followed by weighing in on Brexit is all consuming and it’s now almost time for lunch. Donald Trump was elected because voters believed he would get things done. The likability surveys for Donald Trump are always at or near record lows for a President. In spite of the fact that most people don’t like him, many more support him because they believe he is doing a good job by getting things done. Donald Trump knows this leadership bromide and spends time on the things people care about. The elimination of some onerous banking regulations and rebuilding the military are areas where Donald Trump scored points as a leader.
