ABSTRACT
The following personal case illustrates primitive PDA, including ADT applied to a real dilemma. In 1989, at age 55, I had to decide whether to immediately have an operation to replace a painful arthritic hip — “CUT” or — to delay surgery for now — “WAIT”. Table 1 shows my initial thoughts.
