ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses some of the representative theorists of nationalism to argue that the current theories operate within the conceptual universe of nationalism and that contemporary nationalism theories allude to the presence of — but fail to develop an understanding of — the nature and source of the anxiety that a national community begets.
