ABSTRACT

Human society is a network of relationships and structures, and these relationships and structures may be views in many different ways. As a science, sociology deals with facts, data, and factual-judgements; social philosophy deals with judgements upon these facts and data, that is, with value-judgements. Sociology is concerns to examine the physical and psychological bases of social life. The central concern of sociology is the social relationships of mankind, that of the sociology of education is the study of relations between education and society as a whole. The sociology of education is concerns the aims of education, its methods, its institutions, its administration and curricula all viewed in relation to the various social forces in which they function—forces such as the religious, the cultural, the economic and the political. The process of education the child and social environment must always be considers together as two interacting elements; and the nature of society must be transmitted.
