ABSTRACT

Psychology is concerned with the nature and working of the mind and its aberrations, and with behavior. The analytical approach towards the "factors" of the mind, has led to a further development in experimental psychology in an attempt to evolve more and more accurate methods of testing and measurement. The value of psychology to the teacher becomes more obvious every year as the subject develops. The term "rationalization" is not different, in the respect, from many other terms used in psycho–analysis. In the general mental health concept, and in the implications for education, the dynamics of parent–child, teacher–child and teacher–parent relationships are becoming progressively more important. Many of social problems today must be regards as educational problems: many of educational problems are basically social in origin. The educationist, educator or teacher must listen to, and learn from, everything that the psychologist has to say, and must do best to evaluate the psychologist's findings.
