ABSTRACT
3Japanese quality control in its present form is based on the statistical quality control (SQC) that was brought over from the United States after World War II. Later in Japan we developed total quality control (TQC), which in other countries has come to be known as CWQC (companywide quality control) or TQM (total quality management).
