ABSTRACT

Every church plant must have those responsible for operations and administration—those who set the stage, prep the chairs, tend the soundboard, welcome the guests, count the offering, respond to emails, create graphics, and more. In time, processes and procedures will be needed, and systems and infrastructure must be put in place. Vision and mission give expression to logistics. As team leader, Jesus had a management responsibility: it was putting the right people in the right places. It was about getting people involved and having them own the mission. He trained the Twelve so they would later empower others to get involved when it was their turn to lead. Each person has their own measure and capacity. The grace which God gives to lead can express itself in different areas, such as leading in tech areas or small groups or worship ministry. Each person with the grace of leading has his or her own burden and focus.
