ABSTRACT

Jesus was also a man given to the Holy Spirit and His promptings. He took time to talk with Nicodemus because, despite the lateness of the night, Jesus sensed the “wind was blowing” in the religious leader’s life. He conversed with the woman at the well even though He was weary and hungry because there would be “food in doing the Father’s will”. Jesus was untainted morally. His character and integrity were perfect. There were no grounds by which people or the devil could diminish His spiritual authority or stature. No devices conceived against Him would prevail. He had no issues with women, with money, with fame, with power—issues that all too often sabotage a leader. While taking four months to a year to establish a church seems mind-bending, yet in light of the “picture” left behind, people can see why a budding church could continue on and thrive after such a short start-up period.
