ABSTRACT

The risk owner has the responsibility to bring the results of the action planning to the project team to present the preferred paths. Once again, the team should strive to achieve group consensus on the actions, particularly if the action plan is costly or significant amounts of effort are needed to support the action plan. Contingency planning is the second type of mitigation action. Normally, the readers prefer to reduce the probability of the impact rather than reduce the total loss. This allows us to monitor the summation of total loss along with the summation of the expected loss for all risks on the top 10 list as a measure of risk management effectiveness. If the people workshops have been successful, they should be able to determine fairly quickly the best action to follow. After their action plans have been developed, they should document the targeted action plans.
