Chapter Seven brings the stage manager from opening night to the end of the run, exploring the process of assuming authority for the artistic and technical components of the production and working with the audience. The chapter provides tips for giving notes to actors and for being prepared for a variety of emergency situations. Key pieces of paperwork in this chapter include the run sheet, the front of house information sheet, and a chart for tracking understudy changes.
