ABSTRACT

Chapter 3 is a pivotal chapter because the content is critical to beginning the teacher research process. This chapter is about the primary role of questioning in the teacher research process and guides readers through many exercises to help them generate their own teacher research questions. This chapter will give readers a multitude of ways to think about possible questions and where they might originate in the professional work of teachers. For early childhood students, examples will be given of questions coming from coursework and practicum experiences. For early childhood professionals, examples will be given of questions that arise from teaching and classroom life.
