ABSTRACT

In light of the unprecedented COVID19 pandemic conditions, Chapter 7 examines how school communities can leverage the ‘teachable moment’ that is manifest during such conditions. From this perspective, Chapter 7 provides a practical framework for those schools who wish to reflect upon what they have learned and use this to fulfil their vision for future improvement as a blended school. Importantly, because every school has its own unique school improvement objectives, this chapter is scaffolded around a series of ‘big questions’ that are designed to stimulate reflection and empower schools to adopt Blended Learning in ways that are relevant to their own particular school improvement agenda, noting in particular the need for a supportive coaching, mentoring and feedback (CMF) structure, a holistic progressive evaluation structure and evidence-driven decision making within a teacher-as-researcher (TaR) framework.
