ABSTRACT
This chapter describes my undergraduate years at the University of Melbourne, studying Psychology and Political Science, my engagement in student activities including the International Club, World University Service and intervarsity debating. Descriptions of my journeys to India and Southeast Asia and to Sweden via the United States and Europe show how the world ‘opened up’ to me.
