ABSTRACT
International dimensions of industrial relations continued to interest me during the early 2000s with projects in the global auto industry, the airline industry and the Korean auto sector. Most of these projects were conducted in collaboration with academics in other countries. I also became more involved in academic administration as Associate Dean for research in the Faculty of Economics and Business as well as President of the University of Sydney Professors’ Association. In 2009, the International Labour and Industrial Relations Association (ILERA) held a World Congress in Sydney during my period as ILERA President.
