ABSTRACT
Robert Louis Stevenson once said, “Every book is, in an intimate sense, a circular letter to the friends of him who writes it.” What a happy concept this is! For it provides a sunny bridge between the author and those who meet him in his writings. And if one accepts this idea of books representing the art of communication between two minds, then the author is the richest of individuals, with countless friends the world over.
