ABSTRACT

The arts are literally all around us and this chapter deepens the conversation concerning tapping into the community to support arts integration and arts education in your setting. The hope is to inspire you to find artists in your neighborhood, in the families of your students, and even among your colleagues. In addition to local artists, COVID-19 has taught us that we can access museums and performances throughout the world. This chapter encourages you to think about the power of partnerships in and with artist and arts institutions and provides examples of how to make them successful. It also addresses the value of documenting and researching partnerships and how they impact instruction and school climate.
