ABSTRACT
AutPlay play groups can be an important process for those children whose social skill deficits may be too severe for an AutPlay Therapy social skills group. The Follow Me Approach model is explained in Chapter 5 to help the reader learn the differences between AutPlay play groups and AutPlay social skills groups and choose which may be best for individual clients. Detailed explanations on how to successfully conduct an AutPlay play group are described, while also detailing the pragmatics of these groups. Handling unwanted behavior is also discussed in this chapter, to better help the professional wishing to begin AutPlay play groups. The 10-session model highlighted in this chapter give the readers a succinct and structured method of facilitating successful and meaningful AutPlay play groups.
