ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses vowels, pronunciation differences, and palatalised consonants. It also discusses Russian anagrams and Russian “hushers”. Both children and adults use familiar versions of names to speak about their family members. The chapter provides an exercise based on patronymics to sort out the family relationships of the people such as father, mother, sons and a daughter. The sons appear in order from the oldest to the youngest.
