ABSTRACT
Production workers in any plant have the potential to contribute brilliant ideas to reduce waste and increase company profits. The Reduced Effort Changeover (REC) presentation gives the people who work the line the rare opportunity to meet with upper management and talk about how they reduced the time it takes to do changeovers. This chapter lays the framework for the REC Presentation, providing a detailed description of how and when to prepare for and then make the presentation. This tried and true format will attract the attention of the management and give the REC Team their much-deserved credit. The format will also reduce the effort that goes into creating and conducting the presentation. The chapter details specific aspects of the REC presentation such as inviting the management to the presentation, creating the slides for the presentation, assigning the presentation to REC Team members. It also illustrates a sample REC presentation.
