ABSTRACT

Now that the leadership team had completed their assessment of Tires for All’s facility in Western Pennsylvania, it was now time to begin the development of their strategic improvement plan. They would use their Goal Tree with their assessment results to complete this task, and the good news was this effort would not take a lot of time. Bob had suggested that each member of the leadership team, over the next week, study their completed assessment Goal Tree and when they met again, present ideas on how to improve their system. Bob also stressed that they should be thinking about all they had learned in their sessions, which included the concept of the system constraint, as they developed their improvement ideas. Bob also recommended that they get together with their counterparts to form small teams to discuss their ideas. Bob had to leave Tires for All for two weeks to attend to some personal problems, but when he returned, he wanted to have another meeting with the leadership team.
