Tires for All had developed their plan and had begun implementing much of it. Within three weeks, they had witnessed their work-in-process inventory shrink to levels they had never seen before! And while their work-in-process inventory was now at a manageable level, the important thing was their new levels of on-time delivery of finished product was now approaching 92 percent, which was a level that had never been achieved before. Things were progressing nicely in this facility, that is until Mark received a call from the Board of Directors that they wanted him to come to Chicago for an update the next day.
