ABSTRACT

The unreasonably high income of a small number of people is indeed a pressing economic and social problem we are facing, not just an illusory sense of inequity produced by people’s psychology. People may list many phenomena to illustrate the unreasonable income gap. The equalitarianism problem is a non-negligible major aspect in the income distribution in China. The economic system reform of China aims to turn the old system, characterized by direct control through administrative measures, into the new system, characterized by indirect control through market parameters. Opportunity inequality at that time was covered up by the income distribution of equalitarianism and was not easy to detect. With the entire economic system reform deepened and the steady growth of the national economy, contrasting between the aforementioned two phenomena in personal income distribution will be gradually reduced, and income distribution will truly take a new path that reflects social equity under the premise that efficiency is increased.
