ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we provide tips on how to transition to academia from a non-academic job, either for the first time or returning for the second time or more. We cover specific insights and lessons learned from a co-author who has been a tenured faculty member at two different institutions and brings a network and skill set that would probably allow him to obtain more tenure-line work if he chose to do so.
