ABSTRACT

This chapter is an epilogue rather than a conclusion. It reiterates our purpose for the book and explains technology checkered journey in New Zealand. It also recaps the fundamental shits in thinking to move from teaching and learning programmes that are based on skill development to programmes that are problem-based. It proceeds by giving a quick summary of the key ideas presented in each chapter. This chapter concludes with a reminder that the book is a means to support technology teachers at various stages of their professional journey. It recommends that Chapter 5 is used in conjunction with the New Zealand curriculum (NZC) achievement objectives and their Indicators of Progression found in Technology Online.
