ABSTRACT

The approach to Scrum that revolutionized product development and innovation within software companies was developed by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber in the mid-1990s. Sales teams have become part of this evolution, adopting the rapid visual meetings (RVMs) concept to help build team culture and performance. An RVM visual board uses a traffic light system of red and green within the status columns and on the trend-line charts, clearly showing where you are winning or losing. The traffic light approach plays a significant role in creating a rapidly focused meeting. A visual board can be established simply using software technology such as Microsoft Teams and its related programs. Microsoft Teams enables a remote or local team to login to a central system that brings together programs to allow an RVM. An annual strategic plan is usually formed by senior executives and then executed through a monthly review system.
