ABSTRACT

Agile systems will help an organization improve rapidly into their future. The techniques will capture the minds and bodies of team members, but to be truly effective, an organization will also need to win their employees’ hearts. The heart of an organization is its purpose/mission and culture. The starting point for any leader who is keen to improve their skills in leading change is to clearly define what is most important to focus on. The legend in the field of time management and leadership focus is Stephen Covey with his time management model and concept of putting the “first things first”. Leading change requires leaders to sustain constant energy on the change they are seeking, continually communicating, demonstrating, and supporting team members with the new behavior. Leader Standard Work for middle and senior leaders can be as simple as setting pre-defined meetings and blocking out times within their calendar or diaries.
