ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on a first semester art education doctoral student’s tensions with a/r/tographical identities. The narrative follows her journey throughout the semester as she grapples with disrupting perceptions of self and the impact those perceptions have on research. Diving deep into the process of visualizing her ontology, epistemology, and axiological dispositions, she uncovers a complex understanding of how she knows her world expanding notions of research.
