ABSTRACT
Chapter 6 addresses different methods of communicating the design idea with other members of the creative team. The chapter starts off by identifying seven separate functions of projection design, meaning what the projection design can accomplish. Each function of projection design is discussed in detail with illustrations included to provide visual examples. In addition to the functions, Section 6.2 goes on to discuss different methods for presenting design ideas. From concept statements to mood boards, storyboards, animatics, and mock-ups, each tool is discussed with visual examples provided as well. Field research is also included, featuring an interview with projection designer Rasean Davonte Johnson.
