ABSTRACT
The argument mode presented here is inductive logic. The chapter begins with a brief discussion of analogy and causation. Then Mill’s methods of induction are set out with examples and exercises. This progresses into a brief discussion of probability theory and how statistics can give rigor to inductive presentations as static and as developing (Bayes’ Rule).
