ABSTRACT
This chapter presents the strategy for creating a “con” essay in a standard deductive presentation. A step-by-step approach is presented for a short essay (around 5 pages) to a more expanded essay (8–10 pages). For those wishing to write longer essays, this chapter can be read in conjunction with the Appendix. The chapter follows an example from Book Eight of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics.
