ABSTRACT

This brings us to the end of the first section of this Handbook, which has focussed exclusively on teaching and learning methods with case studies. By now you should be aware that there is no single, unique right or wrong approach to effective case teaching, but there are some commonly held principles of good practice which continue to guide thinking as the case study approach to management education expands geographically, technologically and across a broader range of different learner groups. Ultimately it is for you to determine which approach is going to be most effective with your specific participants, with all the secret histories, cultural nuances and personal motivations that they bring to the class sessions.
