ABSTRACT

In the 1980s, the best-selling “pop sex” book argued that men are from a different planet with a different sexual language and reality. Male sex was simple, powerful, and dominant. Male sexuality was either put on a pedestal or demonized. In truth, among adult men and women (especially in married or partnered relationships), there are many more psychological, relational, and sexual similarities than differences.

We explore the complexities of male sexuality from a pro-male, pro-female, pro-couple, and pro-sexuality perspective. We carefully explore the strengths and vulnerabilities of male sexuality. We assess psychological, bio-medical, and social/relational factors that promote and subvert male sexuality. Knowledge is power. This book is for men, women, and couples.
