ABSTRACT

In 1991, Xu Ke planned to film the animation A Chinese Ghost Story. This film was a joint production created by animators from Taiwan, China, Japan, and Mainland China with five years of effort to achieve its completion in 1997. Chinese Ghost Story is the first animated film made in Hong Kong, China. In 1997, it won the Best Animation Award on the 34th Golden Horse Award of Taiwan, China. The film describes the story of an upright young man called Ning Caichen.
