ABSTRACT
Since the release of the animated cinema film Lotus Lantern in 1999, Chinese animators have re-established their confidence and learned the lesson from the practice of Lotus Lantern. With the innovation and popularization of global digital technology, the exchanges and cooperation between China and the other countries are getting increasingly close and the animation production level has gradually improved. Chinese animation has a wider range of topics in terms of subject matter and content, from myth to magic, and to reality. The cinema animated film Little Soldier Zhang Ga, directed by Professor Sun Lijun of the Animation School of Beijing Film Academy, is the first red classic realistic-style film in China. In terms of technological innovation, as traditional animation technology was replaced by digital technology, full three-dimensional digital images and the combination of two- and three-dimensional images have become new forms of animation art.
