ABSTRACT
In 2001, the animated film My Life as McDull directed by Toe Yuen became a hit. “McDull” originally was an animated short film collection created for subscription TV. After some editing and splicing, it has been reorganized into an animated feature film, achieving remarkable box office revenue of over HK$10 million in ten days. The animated feature film, McDull, Kung Fu Kindergarten, directed by Toe Yuen, was produced in 2009 and is the fourth of the “McDull” series. It became a highlight of the 2009 original domestic animated film. Storm Rider was released in China’s mainland in July 2008 after its production by Shanghai Media Group Limited and Shenzhen Puzzle Animation Cultural Development Co., Ltd. This film is adapted from the famous comic book Fung Wan by cartoonist Ma Wing Shing. The film fascinates its audience by its striking style, delicate composition, and vigorous plot.
