ABSTRACT

Highly successful companies that achieve longevity have gained the trust of their customers. A seed is planted the first time a customer is satisfied. Then the customer is called upon to have faith that the company can satisfy them again. Trust grows each time the company successfully satisfies the customer, and the level of faith required diminishes. The need to build customer trust also provides insight into why the science has been embraced by industries that develop and deliver products whose potential flaws can lead to severe outcomes, as well as the global authorities that regulate them. Customer satisfaction lies at the core of every proven application of the science, which is exactly why it has far-reaching applications still waiting to be explored. Pharmaceutical companies develop, document, and implement quality management systems to demonstrate their dedication to ensuring patient safety by adherence to the applicable legal requirements.
