ABSTRACT

This chapter details the participants’ stories of taking actions aimed at changing some form of structure, culture, practice or way of being within the university. It draws from these stories to provide a description of what transformation means and how each individual has attempted to address it. It describes actions taken by each participant, the consequences of such acts, how others within the context responded to the actions and participants’ experiences of contextual limitations and enabling conditions. In so doing, the chapter provides a window into understanding transformation and the analysis detailed in the following chapters.
