ABSTRACT

In Chapter 4, the author presents the limitations of the study, the data, and the methodology used in detail. She compares the Country Risks of Genocide and Politicide Index Score of Barbara Harff and Ted Gurr with the data of Gregory Stanton’s Genocide Watch. Then, she calculates the covariance, the standard deviation for gender equality and genocide, and the Bravais-Pearson correlation coefficient to test the hypothesis, taking Nigeria, Ethiopia, Angola, Uganda, and Burundi in 2009 as case studies to measure the influence of gender equality on the eruption of genocide. The hypothesis is confirmed. Finally, the author presents the results.
