ABSTRACT

For the majority of us, the time before computers and the internet is hard to imagine anymore. ‘New’ or otherwise called ‘digital’ media are ubiquitous. They have an enormous impact on all areas of human life, as they continuously transform how we interact, how we learn, how we work, how we share information and ideas. They allow us to connect with others remotely, to circulate information instantly, and to access a vast amount of information and new forms of learning. And the story goes on, technologies evolve and emerging technologies, such as Virtual and Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence are expanding the opportunities for learning, working, and communicating. The influence of digital media hasn’t escaped coaching. Their use adds practical value to coaching delivery, as it enables wider reach to clients, and as it offers clients expanded options for selecting a coach, allowing flexibility and efficiency. Given the growing demand for coaching over the years, the practicality of digital coaching is significant, as it means that coaching can be offered to more clients, in less time and with lower cost.
