ABSTRACT
This final chapter is the course chapter. It focuses on what is known about the pathway ARFID might follow, what is known about outcomes of treatment, and what is known about any implications of having ARFID for the future. It discusses how best to address frequently occurring questions and concerns around these issues. The chapter includes a summary of the evidence about what happens to children who have been given a diagnosis of ARFID, as well as what is known about the outcomes for children whose eating habits resemble an ARFID presentation. It considers what is known about factors that have been identified as having a positive or a negative influence on the course of ARFID. The chapter ends with some suggestions from parents about what they want from services for children with ARFID.
