ABSTRACT

This chapter reveals several ways that Disney Theatrical Productions (DTP) works in partnership with other organizations in the United States and internationally. It first explores the production partnership between DTP and Cameron Mackintosh that led to the stage adaptation of Mary Poppins. It then examines DTP’s model for international productions and tours. Then DTP’s licensing partnership with Musical Theatre International is discussed, as well as the process the company uses for piloting material for licensing.
