ABSTRACT

The final chapter provides a brief summary of the three central chapters of the book. It attempts to integrate the previously formulated possibility spaces of trans-Beauty, trans-Utility and trans-Stability into one single, multi-dimensional domain, with the goal of advancing an operative model of spatial development. Subsequently, the argument shifts its focus to a more general perspective, proceeding to cast a view on the different modalities of spatial production that emerged from the different ontological positions outlined in the book. In doing so, the work draws to a close by advancing the notion of ‘ontological regimes’ of architectural production, and reflects on their gradual evolution by discussing them alongside (and in response to) an evolutionary timeline of key philosophical paradigms.
