ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts on the key concepts discussed in the preceding chapters of this book. The book focuses on attention to the growing pervasiveness of corollary work and how it is accounted for by workers themselves. Corollary work consists of all those worklife practices beyond what might be commonly designated mobile knowledge work (MKW) tasks and unfolds together with MKW in everyday life. The promise of happiness and self-fulfilment through an authentic, work-identified self justifies and sustains the extensification of the corollary work that these workers describe. Corollary work is also deeply implicated with time and time work. Information communication technology managers and digital creatives describe temporal practices of constant readiness and sensitivity to ever-shifting configurations of knowledge, information, technologies, environments, customer demands and economic conditions. The effect is that the corollary work described in the foregoing chapters tends to elude definition and grounding.
