ABSTRACT

Elite athletics move quickly. As such, the seven habits must become second nature. It is important to constantly work to improve oneself mentally. The most important mental skills in sports can be boiled down to seven concepts. While each concept contains within it a seemingly endless amount of information, the goal is to keep things as simple as possible. Elite athletics move fast. In order to keep up with this speed one must fight the temptation to overthink their approach. The more we practice them the further we will get. If we ever feel that we have completely mastered these skills, then it's time to start over.
