ABSTRACT

The field of emotional neuroaesthetics has been activated in its attempt to combine cognitive psychology and the biology of perception, emotion, and empathy with the study of beauty. In the future, new knowledge about the biology of perceptions and emotional and empathic responses will influence artists, designers, and marketing managers in their search for new forms of representing beauty. The world will inevitably be a mix of singularities, which will have to be considered to understand the perception of beauty. Beauty will be expressed in a polychromatic way and through disparate attributes, inaugurating a new and diverse typology with a sensorial palimpsest we have never experienced. The megacities will allow people to try ambitious experiments and modify the codes of beauty. In this way, the codes of beauty in personal aesthetics and fashion will become plural, incorporating a new order based on diversity, nuance, and multiplicity.
