ABSTRACT
“All the good that we possess comes into the world through the virtuous will of this goddess 1 in whose sacrifices we sing, devout as diligent voice can be. For should this good cease in our actions we become idle and act in vain. Indeed, although I cannot fully show her benevolence in my song, yet I will make some part resound in my verse.
